Revelation 12: 4-13, Luke 10: 18, Isaiah 12: 14-20, Matthew 12: 30, Moses 4: 1-4

Verse 1
Before we came here to this earth

We all lived as spirits with God in Heaven, we are His children and we wanted to be like Him and to have a glorified body of flesh and bone like He has. So God proposed a plan called the Plan of Salvation which would allow us to come to earth and gain a physical body.

We all voted for a plan

God held a meeting in Heaven attended by all His children to vote on His plan which would allow us to have a body like He has and allow us to make choices in all we do while on earth.
During this meeting Satan proposed his own plan which would give him the glory if his plan was accepted and also remove any freedom of choice for those involved. (Moses 4: 1-4)
The plan proposed by Satan was rejected and there was a war in Heaven (Revelation 12: 7-9) and one third of God's spirit children who followed Satan were cast out of Heaven (Luke 10: 18) meaning they would never obtain a physical body like we have. (Genesis 2: 7)

That gives us time to learn and grow as much as we can

During our time on earth we have many teachers as we grow from being dependant infants to mature adults and what we are exposed to as we grow can be both good or bad for us in shaping our future.

The influence of the Holy Ghost can be a powerful positive guiding influence in our lives even when things seem impossible. (Hebrews 12: 9 & John 14: 26) while Satan will use peer group pressure along with negative feelings and worldly experiences to counteract the positive influence of the Holy Ghost.

To find that path we need to study to strive to learn and grow

While we are here on earth we need to study lots of things first at school then at work so we can provide for ourselves in a physical way but just as or perhaps even more important is that we learn and grow in a spiritual way. So the choices we make become critical for the future. (John 17: 13)

While Satan says just don’t worry there is nothing more to know

Satan is a powerful negative influence on this earth and he is upset that his plan was rejected in Heaven and that as a result he will never have a physical body.

He will use anything he can to take people away from good and or positive influences. (Romans 10: 14) He wants the plan God proposed to fail and he will use worldy things to trap people such as gambling, pornography, drugs, alcohol and even money, houses or cars can become an addiction as powerful as any drug. (1 Peter 5: 8 & Proverbs 1: 22-33)

So strive to do right and return with honour at the close of every day
By keeping your actions your thoughts and words pure in every way

Every hour of every day of our lives is a battle as we are constantly bombarded by seductive and negative influences by all forms of media and music.

If we are to return and live with God we need to make every effort each day to try and keep our actions, thoughts and words pure in every way and while we will almost certainly fail the fact we keep trying to live in a Christ like way each day is well known to God (Revelation 5: 9-10)

Verse 2
We sail each day on a sea of sin where Satan’s winds do blow
With all his tricks worldly people don’t know which way to go
While the Spirit of God guides through the storm like a beacon on the hill
And if we do but humbly ask He will let us know His will

The influence of Satan is powerful in every aspect of day to day living and many people do not realise they are being mislead, (2 Corinthians 11: 13-15) however for those seeking to do right the Spirit of God will act as a beacon to guide them. (Matthew 4: 1-11) But we also have to do our part, we should pray to God each day asking for His help and also keep His commandments to the best of our ability and in return He will bless us.
